Tasting - "Veleta Brut Vino Espumoso Rosado"

  • Veleta Brut Vino Espumoso Rosado
  • Tempranillo and Granacha
  • South Central
  • Spain
  • NV
  • $3.95
  • Wine critics say this rose is a salmon color with copper reflections. Slow rising fine bubbles that form "lace" and rosary". The nose is complex and elegant with red fruit, citric, exotic, fresh flowers, and notes of dry fruits as well as dry flowers. It is fresh, gentle, and alive. Perfectly integrated "perlage" with serious and very subtle flavors of dry fruits, pomegranate and lemonade. The finish has a long lasting scent of flowers and herbs.
  • I found this rose to have an orange, salmon color. On the nose, I especially sensed the dry fruit component. It was a little sour and sparkling on the palate, with a hint of fruit and pomegranate.
  • I did not taste with food.
